I'm new to the car scene, never done more than played video games. Wanted my first car to be a project car.
My brother sourced me a 1991 Civic DX. I know nothing about it beyond that it's modified.
Lowering springs, short throw shifter, battery relocation kit. Apparently, after much work and anger to get a distributor off a parts car (also a 91 Civic) I learned I have a d15b7 engine instead of the d15b2 engine I was told I had.
My question is, How would I make the distributor work long enough for me to find the right one?
Any other tips and info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
d15b7 and d15b2 motors are the same only difference is the years they were made
the question here is your wiring set up
is your wiring set up stock like back when the d15b2 lived in your car (obd0)
or is the wiring now updated to use the newer d15b7 motor (obd1)
for you to find this out is easy
look at this picture
if your distributor wires are the white slash yellow ones your obdo
and if there gray there the obd1
make since?
so the distributor youll need is the one that gos with the wiring
