I have a 95 del sol and my S shaped section of exhaust has rusted out. I have the front cat-delete piece and the rear high flow quiet muffler but the S shaped section has not been replaced from stock and it has now rusted out. I can not find anywhere online to buy only that piece everything is a full exhaust system. Does anyone know where (or if) I would be able to buy just that S shaped section?

 

What diameter pipe, and is it stock or OEM? I'd recommend you just have a local exhaust shop make something up.

 

This doesn't sound like stock exhaust, that section is welded on if its oem. Best bet is to go to a custom exhaust shop that can bend you one and weld flanges on, best provide your own if you want to be in and out plus done to where you can remove it like most aftermarket are.

 

Well since I got the car cheap I do not plan on sinking any money into it and theres no way im paying a shop to do something I could do at home. If it was only a straight section I would do the old hose clamp and beer can method but part of the rusted out part is on an elbow section. I may still try the beer can method for the straight parts just to see if I can quiet it down a bit I dont know how I would seal the elbow part. Maybe some exhaust tape might work if I use enough.

 

Well if the clamps are what you want to use why not get the flex pipe and bend it to what you need and clamp it?

 

I think youre onto something. Flex pipe might be my fix for this.

 

hopefully you have a resonator to keep things quiet.

 

It is called the center pipe or "B pipe" and can be readily bought on the aftermarket, but it will cost about $100.

Ask some shops for a quote to make you one. Doing exhaust work yourself is a big hassle.

 

Thats not what he wants to do though...
