Default Installing Used Transmission Question

Hi, I'm new to the Honda world. I just bought a nice 2001 Honda Accord 2.3 F23A4 with automatic transmission with 132K. I bought the car cheap because the trans was blown. I'm in the process of removing the blown transmission and so far it has been trouble free except for a quite a few bolts that needed some heat to remove and rusted cotter pins on the ball joints that broke off and were a pita to remove. lol Anyways, I found a fairly priced used transmission for $250 dollars and will be picking it up this weekend. My question is: will all the electronics that plug in on the new to me transmission plug in and work or do I have to remove anything from my old trans to this new trans? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

F23A4 is deemed a California car vs the F23A1 is everywhere else in the USA.....if that has any baring?

When you go to pickup your new trans, take pictures of your old one to look at, to verify all solenoids are the same & sensors are the same. I would be almost 100% sure the trans will be the same between the two. If I'm wrong please reply so I'm corrected. Also 250 is a great price on a trans, I need an automatic to rebuild or a 5 spd swap for my wife's 2000 accord 4cyl if you know of any.

Hi, I'm going to continue to update this post for other/future Honda newbies like me that have some transmission confusions. So, I have a California ULEV 2001 Honda Accord 132K, I bought it with a broken automatic transmission and I'm in Connecticut. I pulled the transmission out and it turns out that I have a MAXA (Japan) transmission. I looked around locally and could not find a MAXA trans so, I bought a BAXA (USA) transmission for $400 bucks. I've read on this forum and other places that the Japan trans may or some may not use use different sensors and the sensor plugs would not fit. I found out today doing a side by side comparison of both transmissions that the sensors appear to be the same and they do plug into each other. IDK if the BAXA sensors will work on my MAXA car but, they at least plug in and I could swap sensors later if there is an issue....hope not. I plan on installing the transmission tomorrow and we'll see how it goes. I'll update this thread on my progress. Here's a video I made of the 2 trans side by side comparison...it goes through sensor by sensor check. The video is pretty much of whit stated above. If anyone has additional knowledge please post and help us out.

Thanks,
Gene
