Replacing only upper part of radiator support? 98 Civic EX
hey dudes
So my Civic was my daily up until a couple of months ago when a deer thought it'd be cool to jump directly into it and destroy everything I love. The hood and upper rad support and middle support section are bent in/downward, the radiator and condenser are toast. AND I blew out a brake line trying to stop.
big *** photos under spoiler:
Spoiler
^ALSO the inside of the frickin hood scratched up my frickin valve cover
The non-body stuff I'm cool with, but I've never had to do body work before. I know that the rad support is spot welded in and those welds will have to be drilled out with the lil spot weld bits. That's about all I know.
I only purchased the upper rad support and middle portion, but before I go cutting on ****, I was hoping to find more info as to
where exactly each portions are welded
if it'll be prohibitively hard to only do portions of the support, or if I should've just purchased the whole thing
any welding reccs anyone has; my friend will be doing the welding, but like me is also a body work noob
actually, any and all repair advice is welcome. I've had this Civic for 8 years and haven't hit things, so the body was one of the few things left unmolested
