Got rid of my 98 volvo v70 at 340,000 because my old mechanic was selling his 2004 Honda Element FWD and i thought it would be a decent car to get into considering the ticking time bomb my old beloved Volvo was. Unfortunately it hasn't been the best decision but i'm here to learn because the only way you learn how something works is either you break or bought it. Bought the car w/ 133k and have 143k on the odo. have done struts, sway bars all around, and tires (thought a Honda's rubber would be much cheaper than a Swedish lux. car was but was wrong), rotors and pads, oil and ATF change, and plugs. Anyways, the transmission has started to slip - just my luck - , and have had difficulty finding out what other Honda's share the same transmission. So I'm inquiring to the "experts" of this cult like following as per recommendation of a classmate. So - what other Honda year/make/model transmissions if any would fit my 2004 Element FWD 2WD.
