My 2000 Honda Civic has developed an issue it started a horrible miss and blinking engine light. The codes it reads are a miss in every cylinder and random missfire. It passed a compression test with 140+ in every cylinder. I went from changing the coils and spark plugs TWICE. New plug wires, new Distrubutor Cap and rotor and now just replaced the distributor whole, the fuel pump has been recently changed. I've put water remover in gas. So total the coil has been changed 3 times including the one that came in new distributor. But still it will run and start good when I changed coils on it but when i take it on road and give it some gas the horrible miss resumes where it left off, which leads me to believe its shortening my coils does anyone have any ideas in what could be causing this? I've done alot of research but cant come up with anything.

 

If you could post the actual codes, that might be helpful. The FSM has trouble shooting pages based on the specific codes.

 

There is a specific process you can use to test the coils using a volt meter

I also suggest removing the ignition control module to have that tested. If the icm has rust on it you can pretty much assume its bad.
