Default 2004 civic no spark ,.

I checked for spark and had none , each coil has a black wire , black/white and a 3rd for each cylinder . Does anybody know which of these do what , where the coil primary gets a signal or what the problem may be ? Cam and crank sensors are new , ( unrelated )

Did you check the #1 (15A) fuse in the Under-Dash Fuse/Relay Box?

Yes I did it's good , I connected with the ECU with a scan tool and there were no codes , there's power on the black/white wire and the black is a ground , I tested the primary coils ( I think ) and they are identical ohm readings , not completely sure how the circuit works though .

Check and clean your main grounds.

batt. neg. cable is new OEM part and engine to chassis are good also , been advised to check injector pulse (weather permitting ) , I think if there is none it may point to a bad crank sensor , Also may be the ECU not sure , may have it tested at the dealer , taking pot shots here but open to any advice .

There is a 3rd ground from chassis to trans.
The alternator bracket bolts need to be tight for proper grounding of the alt too. They can loosen and cause issues.

I checked for injector pulse and there was none , no spark & no pulse points to a bad crank sensor , it was put in new over the summer so it's not what I wanted to hear . Main relay is good on account of power to the coils ( black/white wire ) and the CEL light coming up with key on engine off , no codes present . I'll have to pull the lower cover and see what's up , maybe a bad wire connection .

I put an old crank sensor in and it started up , the one I took out was new from the summer when I was doing the water pump . Figured I'd replace it because it's kinda buried but the thing didn't even last a year . You can get to it by pulling the lower timing cover away after the crank pulley comes off . The guy at where I bought it says I should have got it from the honda dealer . They probably won't give me the $$ back just another crappy crank sensor .
