Default YS1 vs Y1 for highway cruising?

Hi all, ive got a b18b1 swapped ef hatch with a jdm y1 transmission. It revs super high on the highway so im looking at getting a ls ys1 to swap in instead. The final drive of the y1 is 4.266 with a fifth gear ratio of 0.870. The ys1 has a final drive of 4.400 and a fifth gear ratio of 0.742. I just dont know what this means as far as rpm. Will swapping to a ls ys1 transmission from a 90-93 integra help lower 5th gear cruising speeds? Right now im at 3500 rpm at 60 mph. Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure about the case numbers on the tranny's, but a 90-93 LS transmission would be perfect for the B18B1 if you need the cable clutch. If you have a hydro clutch than get a '94-'01 LS tranny. A stock LS transmission will be at 3200rpm at 70mph fyi.

Yeah I need it to be a cable clutch. When you say a stock ls transmission will be at 3200, do you mean the 90-93 or the 94+ transmission?

I have a '96 so I'm talking about the '94+ tegs. But it should be about the same for the '90-'93

If it's your daily, by all means swap to the LS Trans. If it's just a weekend car or for fun, I'd keep the Y1 trans. She'll rip a lot better with it. I drive my DC4 to work once a month and by the time I get to work, my teeth are rattling.

I only drive on the freeway to work and back and I wish I had never put my b16 trans in my daily.
