1992 eg hatch b18b1 swapped hiccuping
Hello I have a 1992 Honda Civic that is B18B1 swapped and recently when I’m driving it’s been hiccuping. It’s like a split-second of lost power than a catches itself and I can feel the car like jerk down and catch back up. I recently replaced spark plugs and it stopped for a day. thinking it may be the distributor or the map sensor. Also it doesn’t do it at idle. Any help would be great!
Hello, sorry for the late reply. College has been kicking my *** and I have been playing catch up. Yes, newish spark plug wires, about 8 months old. Old gas has been dumped out, it also has a new gas tank. I gapped the spark plugs to .044 and they are NGK. The rotor cap and distributor look old, so ill try and replace the rotor cap. I have not check the TPS, how do you check? As of recent, the car runs horribly when the check engine light is OFF but when it comes ON the car sounds like it sucks in a lot of air then it runs fine. As long as the light is on, it runs fine. Thoughts on that?

Is it the original coil ? they do random stuff when they are starting to go, and then they just stop working
wires, distributor rotor, cap, are good maintenance items if you don't know when they were changed
I tend to pay a little extra and go with the OEM honda cap and rotor, may as well get the rotor screw while you are ordering stuff
also clean\check your grounds
