I have to replace a Honda CR-V 2006 front cv half axle. Honda sells them for $650. Way too much. My vehicle has ABS. All axles from elsewhere come without the abs ring. Does anyone know where I can get the rings from. Honda does not sell them. Btw the rings are also called abs reluctor rings. Thanks, Tim

 

Knock it off your axle and install it on the replacement axle. Done.

 

Thanks for the idea. I had considered doing this, but figured it would be difficult to do without damaging it. Any tips on how to do it successfully would be appreciated.

 

Slow, gentle taps with a hammer and a flat blade screwdriver rotating the axle after each strike to remove the ABS ring in a flat manner. Too much movement in one area will cause an inconsistent angle and potentially crack the ABS ring. Then it is game over.
