Icon6 My d15 mini me

Hello honda fans! I bought this 89 honda civic dx with a d15b2 for 200$ USD. it was slammed to the ground, you could only drive so fast, it was leaking oil badly(motor was COVERED in grease), it had this awful hum coming from the tranny spline, it would also feel like you pop the clutch at deceleration and easing on the pedal(but easing too much you wouldn't noitice). I found out it was leaking a **** ton of oil in the park plug tubes(due to bottom rocker arm seals) so later on down the road about 5,000 miles later I purchase a 45$ domestic rebuild kit. I lapped the valves myself, replace valve seals, cam seal, rocker arm seals and spark plug seals, I pressure tested he head after I lapped the valves and it turned out great! The block looked fine had a compression test of 175ish across all 4 before I pulled it off. Keep in mind this the dpfi so I wasnt expecting any gains. It was great felt like new the first 200 miles then my oil control rings blew and out cane the smoke! Oil all over the trunk Hahaha it blew smoke like a diesel didnt loose much power if at all that you could really notice on a small engine like that. I later on did a rod bearing and piston ring job on the block. I honed it with a drill hone just to deglaze the walls and slapped it all together. She ran great 7000ish miles later I decided to make a mini me thought I was about time to give the little engine some more umf. Got a d16y8 remanufactured head from pick n pull it look brand spanking new oh my was I lucky, got a y8 intake manifold to. It has a z6 throttle body, regular obd1 injectors with resistor box, stock spark plugs, d15b7 dizzy, vms cam gear set 4.5, gates timing belt, after market cold air intake. I wired everything myself soldered and shrink wrapped every connection except the ecu obd0 to 0bd1 jumper harness. I got a obd1 vtec custom computer from xenocron it came with a custom basemap, redline set to 7.4 and vtec at 5.0. After everything was installed my computer was stuck in limp mode wouldn't go over 4k and cell light was stuck on. It was sent back to xenocron who later diagnosed and fixed the problem at zero cost except shipping. Got it back plugged it in and Walla she's perfect except the code 10 but I can live with no iat for a while lol. Later on down the road I fiddle with cam tim ing do another lash and forget to torque my cam bolt. Mistake of a lifetime my key came out, the bolt almost fell out and my whole came was spinning freely on the cam! Treid to get it started no luck. Pull compression and find out I got a bent valve or multiple. Pull the head and found 1 bent valve the reet went sealing properly. Anyways got that all fixed myself yet again the head is on timed on top dead this time and it has no power I floor the gas pedal and the rpm rises slow af. So I advance it and it runs quite a bit better. A couple driving tests later it ticking sound came up kinda mediocre sound if u know what I mean, so I do another valve lash except this time instead of doing the valve lash with cam at tdc I left it advanced and moved the piston to tdc. The result is astonishing it made my gas mileage improve better then I could imagine around 45-50mph and I had a notice amount of more power. The d15y8 runs great has no check engine codes or light and no smoke! The only thing I cant seem to figure out is my idle is at 1500 operating temp. It goes up to 2000 on a cold start just never comes all the way down. I've checked for vacuum leaks and found none, even tried the idle screw but no luck. Wonder if any of you guys have had this issue and help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for reading
