Car starts an idles but when i try to Rev it up it goes to 3000 then dies ...what am i missing here

 

What year Accord? What ECU?

You should not be mixing and matching harnesses anyway. The best route is always to use your factory engine harness and make the slight modifications required to make it work.

 

2001 station wagon .it has a h23a engine that blew and i swappd a f20b into it an it has the factory harness an factory ecu ...an I've swapped the intake manifold ...I've put the h23a on to the f20b ....it starts an runs just won't Rev up

Ah, right. I was thinking you were referring to a USDM vehicle.

I see the stock H23A ecu as one potential issue. The H23A is 15% larger in displacement than the F20B and requires roughly that much more fuel as well. So you're probably running very rich with the H23A ecu.

Do you have any check engine lights?

 

Yea its running real rich an yup it does have a check engine light

 

First step would be to get the F20B ecu since you're gonna need it anyway.

Scan the codes and report back with what you find. Maybe then I can help you further.

 

Sweet just got the f20b ECU an I'll be taking it for a scan tomorrow ...I'll get back to you cheers

 

Aldone an there are no codes but gearbox has lost connection. It's a h23a gearbox mated to the f20b engine now it just doesn't drive just revs an doesn't move ...

 

What version F20B ecu are you using? Manual or automatic?
