Default Help on LIVE ODB data readers

My car: Honda Accord LX 2000 2.3 engine

I have a scanner that will read check engine codes and can reset the light so all set there.

I’ve been looking at devices that will connect to my diagnostic port and give live data as the car is being used. I’d like one with Blue Tooth or hard wire so I can connect a cell, tablet or laptop with Android or Windows.

I have been looking at types like BAFX Products - Wireless Bluetooth OBD2 and others in the $25 to $100 range. I’m looking to get live feedback for items like those that show for the regular scanner data in the freeze frame data but more.

The problem is when I read the write-ups for these devices they are fairly vague as to what they will capture. I called the maker Innova to see what they captured but the technician would not give me any specifics. not give any specifics and also did not have data sheets for various makes and models of cars.

Autozone has a few Innova scanners that will capture live data and from the package write-ups it seemed like they all would. But the factory told me only models with f or g will do that. So it’s a bit confusing what these things will do.

I thought I’d ask here to see if anyone has played around with one or other of these devices and give some into about the data they capture. Any help would be appreciated.
NOTE: I'm looking for something that will deal with Android not iOS.

After talking with a few companies I found that they do not list what data they can capture for every make and model of car for each year. The issue is that there is no standardization of data companies capture in their cars and no standardization of what is made available for diagnostic ports (ODB type data and more). There are also protocol issues in communicating back and forth between 3rd party external devices and various companies protocols.

The only way to tell exactly what data a scan tool can capture is to hook it up and see what data it capture’s. I’ve ordered two as I have two cars but also so they can check on each other. BFAX ($22) and ODBLink ($50) have lots of positive feedback so I got one of each. Both seem as though they will return the same data but some features outside of ODB data are different. One had automatic shutoff, and display icons but both seem like good scanners.

Note: Both of the scanners above capture only ODB type data. They do not do ABS, tire pressure and other things.
Note: ODB codes are standardized but exactly which are made available by various car makers is not.

I recommend car scanner and pro edition. Carscanner pro gives more than most obd of the bluetooth obd scanners on the market.
