Default Distributor cap won’t fit

Any one know of a distributor cap that fits this Td-84u obd2 distributor? I got the motor from someone else so I’m not sure where it came from. I tried the 30102-P72-006 94-01 Gsr cap and it didn’t fit. I’ve heard of trying an Integra ls/civic si cap but has anyone done that and had success? Would that throw my timing off? Part number for that is 30102-P54-006. Anyone recognize the label and who might manufacture it to get a new cap. I already installed a 30103-P73-003 rotor so hopefully that will work with whatever cap I find.

Just go to auto zone and try different year B series distributor caps, you might have a LS distributor who knows. What year and make is the engine? If you move the distributor the timing will be off but since your just replacing the cap timing is not affected.

My research concluded the Td-84u is a distributor for a 94-2001 gsr that is obd2 so why does it matter which engine it is in? It is on a 92 pr3-1 head which I have an obd2 ecu.

I went to advanced auto and it seems like the Integra ls cap look like it lines up but the lady said if the 4 contact points aren’t exactly in the same orientation that my timing would be off. That kind of made me worry and she said the caps are not returnable once installed. So has anyone has tried this with success?

You either have GSR/ITR or B16/B18/B20 caps. Throw the B16 style on and problem solved.

hmm, I think I experienced something similar when I bought a GSR cap, it didn't fit my VTEC dizzy, but I ended up buying a B16 cap and it worked.

Integra rs,ls 30102-P54-006 cap and gsr 30103-P73-003 rotor worked. Just beat the crap out of her and her cutoff in 4th gear is gone. Now I need to get rid of the gsr cap that the online dealer won’t take back without restocking fees and shipping .
