Default 1990 CRX Si with D16y7 Distributor question

Really just wanting to check I have this right before ordering parts.

I have a 90 crx which had its engine replaced by a previous owner with a D16Y7. The distributor is done and requires replacement. From reading the forums it seems I need to order a D16A6 dizzy so it is compatible with the ecu and I am assuming that is what was on there. One thing I noticed and why I am asking this question if the A6 distributor does not correctly bolt to the Y7 block. With the top bolted in the bottom holes do not line up. Previous owner used a couple large washers to jam up against the bracket. Are my assumptions about the distributors correct? If so I will be fabricating a proper bracket binky style to better secure the next distributor.
