Heating problem Civic 2003 1.4 Hatchback
Hello, I am new to this forum
, please bear with me.
I have a problem with heating in my car. I eventualy found out that the air temperature blend door is really sticky and hard to turn (I mean the one that works with mixing hot/cold air, not HCV). The cable that runs from center dash was bent due to the hardness of turning, so I removed the whole center console. I found out that the cable runs to the bottom of drivers dash where it connects to some plastic gears. When I tried to move it by hand it was really hard, near impossible to turn. But eventually I heard that switiching noise. So it works, its just really sticky. Does anyone know how to fix this please? There is a really bad clearance to the gears, potentionally blend door.
Here is a link to what I exactly mean. 8:10 - 9:00

I think you have to replace them, I am currently going through with the same thing on an 04 civic lx as it would get stuck on full heat. The door for the cold/heat and defrost are all giving me issues. I got it turned enough to get cold air back since Im in florida and heat isn't as much of an issue...
Have you tried checking to ac codes? I believe code 9 is the blend door when the diagnostic is run.
