Alternator fuse keeps popping stranded
So i should have done a number of things differentley but this is my situation. My 1996 civic cx got the ignition broken due to theft. It was recovered a few blocks from my house with nothing gone. Not having the time or money to do a repair and or add kill switches i have been pulling the fuse for the fuel pump as to prevent it from another theft. The alternator fuse is two positions away from that fuse. I was dumb and in the mix up of finding a fuse of wrong amperage got put in the alt / speedo fuse location. It popped the fuse of wrong amperage. Then i put the right fuse in and its popping the 7.5amp fuses that go in that location. That fuse popps car runs rough and then dies after 20 seconds and requires jump start. Somethings shorted out anyone able to point me in the direction of where to look for a short or possibly could a fuse or relay be blown that is causing this fuse to blow?
