Double fail.. overtightened coolant temp sensor and the sensor before it, closer to radiator, wire broke off during removal.. please help. hahah '97 Accord 2.2L

Coolant temp sensor left, unknown sensor to right with wire broken off

1. The broken wire connector is for the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sending unit for the temperature gauge. It can be replaced with a female 4mm bullet connector. See post # 5 in this other thread: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-.../#post52009515

2. For the broken ECT sensor, you can try using a sharp punch and hammer to loosen the broken piece. For example, you would punch an indentation near edge. Then slightly angle the punch, and use a hammer to loosen the broken sensor out counter clockwise.

Thank you so much for that link!

After more trial and error than I cared for I got that sensor out with a right angle drill and extractor bit.. I replaced thermoswitch A and t-stat successfully(no leaks).. new ECT, sending unit and switch B on the way. Hopefully after that and a proper burp, no more overheating and the fans kick on at temp.

I paperclipped the connector at switch A and the fans will work so that's why I replaced that switch, but they still won't turn on so that's why I'm going down the line of sensors.
