2000 Honda CR-V codes
P0505
My car has a hunting idle, I've had the IACV replaced in the past which didn't fix it, and had the throttle body cleaned. Not sure if I should just get the IACV replaced again or not.
EVAP code
Don't remember the exact number but the mechanic said there was a crack in the rubber connecting the fuel filler inlet to the tank. He called it the "fuel tank assembly hose" but he keeps blowing me off saying the part hasn't arrived yet, even though it was supposed to...twice in a row now I have to wait. The car smells like gas after running it for a while but the MPG is still pretty constant, I don't smell gas after it's been sitting a while, and I havent noticed any puddles.
I'm curious how dangerous it is to drive the car with the evap problem. Until I can get someone to fix it. And the former problem i would appreciate any diagnostic advice further. It's had the idle problem for a while now.

Evap isn't dangerous unless the filler neck leaks. I would not fill the tank to the brim until you get that fixed. Try to stop at 3/4 tank or so.
P0505 might also be a vacuum leak. Competent mechanic should be able to troubleshoot it properly.
