Brake lights staying on

Icon4 Brake lights staying on

I have an 01 civic sedan thats currently draining my battery.. the brake lights and dashboard staying on after car is off pulled all fuses checked wiring also the switch on the brake pedal itself and nothing.... any ideas??????????

Brake lights usually work still if the cars power is off. You are saying they just stay lit up even after you release the pedal? Then thats the problem right there.

If dash is all lit up then that makes me think a ground is staying grounded (short to metal someplace) after you remove the key, and the relay that powers the whole fuse box is staying on. I bet that if you remove the negative battery cable then reconnect it solves the problem until you start the car again huh?
