Default Using the clutch switch as a kill switch.

So the clutch clutch switch gave out today and I have it bypassed with a paperclip temporary. But I had a thought on what if I attached those wires onto a switch as a anti theft switch. Wiring would be easy and I could turn it off once car is on for the cruise control. Just kind of a precaution if someone tried to steal it. Of course the switch would be hidden. But without it on the car wouldn't start. Just a thought. If not I will just replace the switch.

You could still bump start the car to bypass it. Best bet is to do a main relay kill-switch and/or fuel pump kill-switch.

Well I wasn't going a definite thing. Just a thought.
I know there are more ways like fuel pump.

Don’t do it on your clutch switch because anybody with a shred of electrical knowledge trying to steal your car will just jumper out your starter solenoid.

Instead, put a switch going to your fuel pump. Car won’t start without fuel.

Ty for the input everyone. I might do it anyways to avoid this issue as after researching I seen this issue with the grommets falling off. A Honda defect so I may just bypass it anyways. Still undecided though. I don't mind the work but don't want to do it again in 3 months.

Use the right lube to install it, and you won’t be replacing it in 3 months

So this wasn't about creating a kill switch? Right...

It actually was a idea. That was my intention to use it as a kill switch. I didn't know you could push start it. This is my first manual car so I'm learning as I go.
I actually didn't even know about the switch till my car wouldn't start today and googled on what it could be and luckily this was the issue.

Use one of the black GROUND wires going into the PGMFI relay as a kill switch. There won't be any voltage on the wires in case they happen to back out at the kill switch. I would recommend soldering the connections.

I would recommend open barrel crimps with heat shrink to cover the connections.

NO on those barrel crimps. It's obvious even to dimwit thieves...

Are Honda’s open barrel crimp connections obvious to thieves? Always?

Not when they are covered in blue tape.

Are you talking about the plastic stopper pad? What are you doing to violate that thing so that it is falling out every three months? I've never had one last less than ten years, I think they are just fine. It only takes a minute to replace it if it does fall out.
