Default tire screws?

are they really needed? HOw easy would it be to spin teh slicks on the rims? Wouldn't the bead be able to stay put?

Do I just drill right into teh bead and screw in?

when you put screws in your rim does the tire still hold air good? or does it leak? and you need to run tubes?

I'm guessing you thread them into teh bead of the tire if you don't have tubes

well theres an advantage and disadvantage to screwing the slicks to the rim.
well advantage is if it is slipping, then it will hold and you may get better traction with it screwed on.

BUT, then expect alot more GRAB, which then transfers the power to the axles and can cause more breakage at that end. some say, they will sacrifice a little tire spin on the rim just so they are not breaking axles all the time.

Screw goes into the bead but not thru it. If you go thru, you have a leaker. Most guys don't use tubes.

also use liquid teflon thread sealer on each screw, same thing you use on AN fittings.
