tire screws?
are they really needed? HOw easy would it be to spin teh slicks on the rims? Wouldn't the bead be able to stay put?
Do I just drill right into teh bead and screw in?

well theres an advantage and disadvantage to screwing the slicks to the rim.
well advantage is if it is slipping, then it will hold and you may get better traction with it screwed on.
BUT, then expect alot more GRAB, which then transfers the power to the axles and can cause more breakage at that end. some say, they will sacrifice a little tire spin on the rim just so they are not breaking axles all the time.

I'm guessing you thread them into teh bead of the tire if you don't have tubes
