Default Alarm won't stop/dead battery

I returned from holidays and found my 2007 CRV has a dead battery. I gave it a boost and the alarm (horn) immediately started going off. So I put the key in the ignition and started it up and the alarm didn't stop, but the car was running. I tried to press the panic button and the door lock buttons on the fob but they didn't do anything. In fact, the electric locks won't work at all, not with the fob or by pressing the lock button on the doors.

The alarm shuts off after a few minutes, but a red interior light remains blinking and if I shut the car off I can't restart it - dead battery.

There appears to be two issues. Dead battery and the car alarm/anti theft disabling the locks. From what I've read, the crap battery may be causing the alarm issue. I live in remote Canada where there are no CRV batteries, but thankfully some are arriving next week at the latest, so I can tackle the dead battery issue, but I'm not sure if this will automatically correct the alarm.

I had the battery on a charger all night and it won't turn over and maintains the same voltage of approx 10.5V. I removed the negative cable from the battery while charging and as soon as I put it back on this morning i could hear what sounds like a faint clicking or horn sound that emitted yesterday as the battery drained while the alarm was sounding.

I've owned this CRV for about four months and the previous owners said it has a Compustar remote starter, but shortly after they bought the CRV the alarm sounded constantly so they took it to a shop and they disabled the remote starter somehow.

I've also considered changing the fob battery as I read that suggestion elsewhere, but I replaced the battery two months ago.

Any help/thoughts are appreciated.

I have a compustar system in my truck, and had a similar issue. My unit does not have remote start, however. Basically, the truck is rarely used, just for hauling lumber and yard waste. The compustar system seems to drain batteries very quickly when not driven. When you jump start it, the alarm goes off every time, repeatedly. The solution I have found is to disconnect the ground wire for the compustar horn/siren before I jump start it. On my truck this is mounted on the firewall, and the ground is tapped into the firewall a few inches away. The flashers still go off, but it doesn't make a racket and fight the battery from charging. Once I get the battery up after a few minutes, I pair the remote, cycle ignition 5 times and hit the lock button on my FOB. After that, I hit unlock on the FOB, start the truck, and hook up the siren's ground wire again. If I don't unhook it, the battery just goes into a dead-charged loop over and over again clearing the compustar's memory and tripping the alarm again.

The alarm was improperly installed. Likely, the installer wired up both the ACC and+12VDC wires to the battery. This will drain the battery eventually.
