P1359 Code Help 1999 Civic no start
Hello All,
I am trying to solve my no start issue on my 1999 civic. To make story short, the engine just turned off all of a sudden while driving on the freeway heading to work.
Upon checking for the possible culprit, the ECU registered a p1359 code. I get no spark trying to start it, no pulse from the igniter to the coils upon checking using a light tester. Checked the p1359 and it relates to the crank sensor. No loose wires, nor looked bad upon checking.
Does the CKP/TDC on hondas go out all of a sudden with no sign of failing?
Any inputs that can help me solve my case, will be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

OP, you have just described the definition of "Broken"... you have an engine sensor that was perfectly fine and functioning as designed one moment, and then it wasn't. This sensor is found inside of the distributor. You will have to check the continuity of the wires for the related sensor to the ECU and the OHM resistance of the sensor pick up itself. If this all checks out, there is a possibility of an ECU failure that you cannot rule out without testing with a known good ECU, but it will likely be that a distributor replacement will solve your issue. DO NOT make the mistake of buying a cheap azz "Lifetime Warranty" distributor from online or a local parts store for $100 instead of a new housing from Honda. I suggest you either find an OE used distributor or pony up the dough and get a new one from Honda only.
