Options to fix or replace a heater control panel?
Hello Forum!
Question: Does anyone have any suggestions about how I might remedy a faulty heater control panel?
I have got a 2000 Honda Accord LX.
A couple of years ago one or two lights for the heater control panel went dead. I went to a junkyard and bought another heater control panel. The recirculation light for the junkyard replacement heater control panel has now went dead.
I hesitate to buy another unit from a junkyard since all the units are old and may be prone to failure.
I can get a remanufactured unit but it costs $297.

Is there any way I can repair the current unit?
Thank you in advance.

You may have a bad re-circulation door solenoid or actuator that is causing excessive current to flow through the control panel. The panels and their switches operate at a very low current and typically don't fail.
What was the original failure? The original control panel? Was the switch functional and just the led indicator light was burnt out? Or was the re-circulation function faulty?
What is your current failure? Is the switch functional and just the led indicator light burnt out? Is the re-circulation function functional?
