I got a 1994 LX 4 door, and after a collision i decided to put a 97 front end on it (i like the grill better).
However, the hood latch does NOT line up with the new grill. The arm to push up on is too high / too far to the left.
Not collision related, as it worked just fine with the previous grill post-collision.

I see the part numbers for the core support is the same across both years, but the hood latch number is different. Problem is, i can't for the life of me find a good picture of them both to compare...
1994: 74120-SV4-003
1997: 74120-SV4-A01

Google searches show either or. honda-parts-now / estore both return a diagram with the exact same drawing.

I am on my way to a junk yard to take a look in person, just wondering if anyone here already knows. Thanks!

 

Update: user error. Latch difference is minor, some shielding. Looks like the 97 is used on 98-99 too.

I was using the wrong part of the grill to open... 🤦
