Project: e_K. 97 Cx hatch. K20z3? Or suggestion. Ground up.
Looking for some suggestions. I’d like to either build the swap from ground up... order/buy piece by piece or looking for a full swap. Not sure which K to go exactly. Any suggestions. A little bit of a budget .... can do minor things my own... don’t have a large tool selection. Any links to a piece by piece build/ swap?

You don’t do a K swap piece by piece while on a budget. The secret is getting a good donor car with major rear end damage and a good front end.
The real secret is to do some research. 2019 wasn't the yr where everybody started doing K-swaps. Been done, packages built, guides are a plenty.
"K swap" and "budget" do not belong together in the same sentence. This is assuming the standard Honda-tech definition of "budget" being used here: cheap..
Yeah, I agree that "K-Swap" and "Budget" don't work well together. Combined with limited tools and knowledge, a K-Swap may realistically be out of your reach. A simpler, more doable, swap would be a B20 w/LS Trans. If you do it yourself, it can be done for under $1,000.
By budget I should say I have around 5250 to spend but want to be on the conservative side of spending. Going cheaper where I can... and having more for more important parts

Because as much as I want you to have a good build like a lot of these other members, I’m just not seeing the plane getting onto the runway.
Well I can assure you my plane wants to take off. I have an evo x that I don’t really want to do anything else to. It’s the basic bolt ons. I was going to dump the money into that but I’ve decided to just have a different toy to play with. With a job in law enforcement and the schedule that I have .. it’s hard to find good hobbies. So that being said I want this to take off and will do whatever it is I can. @Freedo_Civegra
I’m also trying to show a screenshot of a deal I came across. Apparently an 04 rsx type s. Engine trans ECU and harness for 1300. Does that seem legit ?
If it runs well, isn't stolen, and has no trans grinds... that is a great deal and will help you stay close to your target budget. Good find.
