Default Calipers need to be replaced?? How hard & safe for a first timer to do it myself?

Hey people,

I have a question.
I changed the front disc brake pads (first time I ever did it) myself the other day.

First off, all those videos I watched instructing you how to change Brake Pads do not mention that you need to put the car in Neutral so that you can rotate the rotors to test them . (They are Awesome thou)
So......I had to reattach the Calipers in order to put the car in Neutral.
Then, when trying to measure the rotors I found them VERY hard to rotate. I thought this weird ,especially that no one mentioned this nor did I see anyone in the videos having difficulty rotating the wheel.

But, I did rotate them with serious effort and I did get to measure the rotors for warping/thickness (it all looked good) and rotors were clean and shiney.

I feel like I did a good job But, the brake pedal felt a little lower to the floor than usual. They work fine and are quiet though.

Anyways , I then decided to bleed the brakes due to them feeling a little lower than usual .

I did this and it felt better while bleeding them but at the end it felt the same , No bouncey feeling or noise but just a little lower than I believe it felt before I changed the pads.

So, I decided that seeing as I have never done brakes it would be wise to have a mechanic check them out (to be safe).

I brought my 94-95 DelSol in today and they told me I did fine on the brake job but, the calipers are frozen , they had a hard time rotating the wheels when the car was off the ground.

Also.. the back brakes are at 10% + (something on top of the drum that has something to do with pushing the fluid back in the drum (?)is leaking ??). All of this will cost close to $900 to fix.

I am surprised because the calipers pushed in easily when I pushed them back in.
Even when the caliper was off the wheel, the rotor was hard to rotate???

What do you think??

Would it be the calipers or something else keeping the wheel/rotor from rotating??
