how often would yall say a ignitor goes bad in a dizzy tried 2 different dizzys both with weak spark i have replaced ignitors before an its worked any theories?

just fried an airtex brand from rockauto.
it last about 3 years/20k miles.
i always carry a spare plus a spare coil
(plus needed tools)
coil and icm are the weakest links in ignition system.

replaced with a known working ignitor put it on the car fired up for 3 seconds then shut off im assuming something else with the distributor is bad
