Okay so I have a 92 accord 5 speed, I’ve never had any issues with it starting until a week ago. So last Sunday I was driving and all of a sudden my cluster stopped working and I lost all power, messed with it for a few minutes and it started, a few hours later I was driving again and it did the same thing. I had someone look at it and they determined it was a bad ground. All my lights(cluster, headlights, and radio) came on still, but it wasn’t clicking or trying to turn over, nothing. I messed with the ground again today and replaced the battery and still nothing. If I pop start it, it will start up. Anyone have any ideas???? I’m lost and have no clue where to start
If it dies when its running its not your battery, how new is the alternator?
the alternator was just replaced last year, I took it out and had tested, I assumed that could’ve been it as well but it came back that it was still good!
It was grounded to my fender, last week when it had died I had someone look at it and he messed with the ground(rebolted it down in a new spot, started right up afterwards)
the day I made the post, I tried to same thing, bought a longer ground wire, took a wire brush to a spot in my engine bay to get a good connection and nothing this time.
a friend of mine suggested a neutral safety switch?
since all my lights and CD player come on, but it’s acting like the clutch isn’t in?
