Default Troubleshooting 2000 no-start

I have a 2000 AP1 with about 80k miles on it. It's in decent shape, my dad had it as a fun car.

I was driving last month, and everything ran fine, I got to my destination, parked, and when I got back in the car to start it, nothing happened when I pushed the engine start button.

I ended up kick starting it on a hill to get it back to my house, but it won't start from the ignition.

Everything else works, all lights and gauges turn on, I can even hear the fuel pump prime.

I found that the clutch and brake rubber stoppers had both broken apart, so I replaced them, but the engine still does not start.

No clicking noises or anything, so I'm not sure if it's the starter. I've changed the ignition fuse because it was corroded, and changed all under dash fuses. I'm in the process of checking the continuity of the ignition switch circuit, and I assume the next thing to test would be the starter itself. Has anyone had this happen? It ran completely fine before this, wondering if the Engine Start button itself could be bad?

Did you replace BOTH stoppers on the clutch pedal? The upper one engages the clutch switch to start the car.

I didn't realize there are two, I could only see the one on the clutch and one on the brake. Will double check on that.

So it looks like the sensor I replaced the stopper on was the cruise control sensor for the clutch, I took the pedal assembly off and saw that the stopper for the ignition safety switch was gone too. Heading back to the dealership tomorrow to grab a new stopper, thanks for the help!
