I recently got a 00 Civic ex. I had problems with it where it wouldn't crank or start after breaking down from getting it. I replaced the crankshaft position sensor and it starts up Everytime now and runs pretty good cold. But when it gets to operating temp it runs rough and hesitates on acceleration. And sometimes dies when it's to warm. I believe it's the ICM because I also have a check engine light. I was going to get a coderead but after extensive research and visually inspecting the Icm I really believe this is the problem anyone else have any insight?
Already replaced it got the car running and idling good CEL was still on so I read it and it's throwing a p1259 code vtec system failure/ vtec system failure B1
Now the car seems to not have power under loads it stalled trying to get up my driveway which is a steep incline. Also drove it down the road. Had the pedal to floor in first and second and the rpms were barely rising like I was just Sunday driving not sure what's causing that loss of power
I did, when I took the old vtec selonoid out there were a good bit of metal shavings in the the screen to it. Definitely not a good sign but if I check the oil and filter and don't see anymore shavings you think the motor is ok? It's not knocking or ticking or anything and there's no codes anymore
