A/C does not turn on and cooling fan fuse pops on 1991 Accord
Good afternoon,
I have a 1991 Honda Accord Aero Deck LX (station wagon for those of you who've never owned one). Someone did an engine swap before I bought the car and it has a Japanese Domestic Motor (JDM) F22B from a 1993 Prelude and a JDM P39 computer from a 1994 Prelude. The Transmission Control Unit is not stock either. The stock one failed and I got one from a 1992 Honda Accord Aero Deck EX.
I did an R134a conversion in 2013 or 2014 and the A/C ran well for many years with no problems what so ever.
When I turn the A/C on the fuse for the cooling fan pops and the clutch on the compressor does not engage. The condenser fan operates normally.
The cooling fan fuse is number 39 in the under hood fuse box. If you're looking at it from the passenger side it is the fuse in the lower left corner. The label is on the cover.
I figure I've got a short and I'm hoping someone with a similar problem can share some wisdom with me on how to proceed.
Thanks and have a good day.
