Default 1998 Civic B18b1 Swap - no crank

Hey guys. I'm having trouble with my civic. I swapped a a 1995 Ls b18b1 into my ek. I had it running and driving. I then moved into a new house and pulled the motor to paint the engine bay and clean up the motor. I put the motor back in and plugged everything up. I get the fuel pump to prime but I dont get any crank or even signs of it wanting to start. I've pulled the engine harness and plugged it back in and checked the grounds everything seems ok. I cant wrap my head around what the issue would be. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks in advanced.

Check all of the basic stuff first before we delve deeper into what the issue may:
  1. Tighten down the battery leads onto the poles of the battery. Ensure there is no corrosion or debris stuff in between. Sand/clean if there is
  2. Make sure the battery has enough juice in it. Boost from another vehicle using jumper cables
  3. Any check-engine-lights coming on? If so, tell us the codes
  4. If the lights in the cluster come on when you turn the key, then it may be something as simple as you forgot to plug in the harness lead that runs to the starter
  5. If the lights in the cluster come on when you turn the key, trying push starting the car and 1st gear or reverse gear
  6. Verify all of the grounds on the engine bay harness (there are several of them) are connected, clean, and touching bare metal
  7. Verify spark, fuel (I understand the pump is priming, but that doesn't necessarily mean your entire fuel system is working), and compression
Now if none of that simple stuff resolves your issue, then we now need some more details...which wiring harness are you using? Which ECU are you using? Running a conversion harness?

Good luck
