Default 2009 Honda Accord - Airbag Light on - Video - Please Help me find the Code

Hello all!

I have a 2009 Honda Accord with the Airbag Light on. I have a wire in the plug at the #4 and #9 position of the OBD2 plug.
Please Please Help me find the code. I see 4 -5-4 but I'm not sure

Here is the video with the code output via the airbag light

Thanks for your help!

Forgive my ignorance, but is that a valid way to pull the codes? Where did you learn that?

Something seems off about the airbag light. Its flashing too fast in some instances.

Honestly youre better off with an OBD 2 code reader....

No reason to apologize. We are all here to learn from each other's experience and share knowledge.

As far as I can tell, you can't read the Airbag/SRS code with a regular OBD2 code reader. You need a more advanced code reader. If I'm wrong, please point me to a good Airbag code reader around or under $100
See this thread for the Complete SRS code list https://honda-tech.com/forums/tech-m...-list-3111979/

I dont know guy.

I looked up the diagnostic procedure for SRS codes for your vehicle and no where does it state to short Pin 4 to Pin 9 to pull SRS codes. That procedure may be for an older or different model Honda.

If you wanna pull the SRS codes youre gonna need a code reader. I suggest Amazon. You may not find one for under $100 but I saw a few capable readers for under $150:

The 4 in the first position = 10 so you are reading 15-4 which IIRC (do not hold me to it) is one of the seat back sensors.
