Default 90 Integra orange spark

Recently purchased a 90 Integra. Love the car but just recently ran into a snag. It ran fine until I turned it off one day. Went to start it, wouldn't run. Checked the plugs first, found I had no spark. Checking everything lead to my coil out of spec. Supposed to be .6-.8 resistance, meter shows 1.2

Checked and replaced a wire connector end, and rechecked spark at nighttime. Orange spark at all plugs.

Checked for any other obvious shorts or bad ground sources, nothing I can find.

Is my problem the coil? Is there any way to test the coil to verify coil is 100 percent the problem?

Thank you all who help.

there was an advanced ignition troubleshooting thread at team-integra but it's
not working since they decided to screw up everything:

bottom line is you will need a few coils and icm units to get to 375k miles (where i am now).
i always carry spares for both.

So in other words what you're saying is that these ignition coils and ignitor pack's go out fairly regularly in these cars?
Okay... Good to know.

I guess I was just a little bit surprised to find out that they could or would go out between one start and another without some significant event occurring in the interim.

I ordered a new coil today, NAPA say's it will be here in the morning. I'll have it installed by lunch and hopefully that'll be the end of it for now. I'm still open to any advice contrary to my diagnosis though and welcome any additional opinions.

It's fixed!!!

it was the coil. Thanks to who helped.

I have a new, different, and unrelated problem however. One of the boots to my plug wires keeps pushing it's way off of the plug causing it to start missing after just a few minutes of operation. Stop the car, push the boot back on, and a mile or so later it does it again.

What's up with that???

Try to take that plug wire off and get a needle nose pliers and crimp on the metal connectors inside the boot a bit but not too much or you’ll have a hard time pulling it out, it’s probably opened up loose from getting pulled out of the spark plug. But if you haven’t replace your wires in awhile it’s probably best to do it since cheap $20-$40 ngk wires.

denso wires/plugs are ok too and
usually cheaper than ngk.
try to get made in japan parts when possible
or at least rockauto favorites with the little
red heart icon.
here's a good guide:

Thanks you two for your advice there on the plug wires. After shoving them back down a few more times it appears as though they've decided to stay on for now but I think I'm going to go out and crimp them a bit right now to make sure they stay that way. Would not be cool trying to impress the ladies and your engine starts to sound like a lawnmower with emphysema. Lol

Lol. Naw they’ll be like holy moly a suburu engine in a honda!!!

my brother had this problem with his msd kit and while making a pull it started to sound like suburu. Pulled to the side and found a plug wire laying on valve cover.
