Cv axle/Transmission issues
Just a breif discription of car and history as far as I know. It's an 01 civic 1.7l auto trans. Nearly 250,000 miles. I've only owned it about 5 months. When I got it, the previous owner mentioned they swapped a transmission from an accord into it. Unsure if that's true or not, the car also had a very bad vibration when driving and around 50mph+ it felt like the steering wheel was gonna fly off, also a terrible noise. Which I assumed was a wheel bearing problem. I've recently started working on a few small things here and there, and finally got to looking at what I thought was a bearing issue. I jacked the car up and put it in drive, and it seems to be making a bad noise from where the cv axle goes into the transmission. Also coming from the passenger side. The driver side seems to be fine. Any ideas what the problem could be?
Oh and also, I'm not sure if this helps any but if you shift down below drive into like d3 or lower the gear indicator on dash will just flash until u put it back in park. Turn off the car. Then crank it back. I'm not sure what that's about
