green flashing key on dash / no start
hi again . new question please . I've read somewhere about key and the computer not recognizing each other? possible here because we switched out the Ignition key and door keys.. is there something further I need to do because of this key flashing on dash and the car still wont start . I've used a noid light on injectors and fine . fuel delivery is fine . and green light blink on dash with no start .. any ideas ?
The flashing green key indicator is related to the Immobilizer system. Unless a used matching ignition key and car computer were used, re-programming of the car's computer would generally be needed.
An option is to just remove the immobilzer board from the car's computer and install an immobilizer emulator board. There are immobilizer emulator boards available on ebay for less than $20.
Installation instructions and board type for your year Civic is the second type at the bottom of these instructions.

the key was set with a computer . idk if you can unset it when reprogramming the cars computer ?( ECU and back up ). I can't find why it's not getting gas .. any ideas ?
its reading 2+ volts on both wires for pump at pump . is this the theft system ? itll have a 2+ volts on both then after a few seconds the one turns off like its supposed to and the other holds a 2+ volt read . now the battery could be low by now or is this strictly a theft thing ? Also its has sat in a field for months maybe eaten by mice in the wires .. my last hope if that's not a theft response on the volts..?

How the Circuit Works
The immobilizer system is designed to prevent the car from being started without the owner’s ignition key. If an attempt is made to start the car with any other key, the immobilizer system will disable the car’s fuel supply.
If the ignition key signal is not correct, the ECM/PCM will not energize the car’s fuel supply system by not grounding the PGM-FI main relay 2(except GX) or injector relay (GX). The immobilizer ndicator light then flashes a code to indicate that an incorrect key has been inserted.

You don't set the rfid chip in the key. The first post made it sound like you only swapped out the door and ignition keys, not a matching ecm and key. If that is the case then make sure the ecm "sees" the original chip key by plugging that in and tucking the key and wires behind the dash. I did this on my car and the wires are long enough. I zip tied the original key to the immobilizer ring. The new key only turns the switch. It looks factory from the outside but of course there's no anti theft anymore. I did add an aftermarket alarm. You can go to the dealer and have them make a key that matches your vin, if you have the title, and the original ecm is in there. If you need a replacement ecm they will tow the car in, then program that ecm to match the key you already have. Most likely the old ecm is fried, and that is why it is in a field. You may want to pull all the parts from a junkyard car and swap them over. But since they are used parts it may take more than one try. Seems like the ecms get fried after people replace the alternator, or work under the hood and forget to re-attach a ground wire.
ok I hear ya . and thank you all for making it clear. haha seems i get to "thinking" and forget to listen eh ? . but I hear ya and thank you very much . yall kept me from circling around and wasting my time . ... yall rock . . . I'll be back to say what happened .
