Cheers From Michigan - New To Me Accord - 2011
I have just purchased a 2011 Accord 4 banger and it has 139K. Seems to be in great shape overall and I plan on seeing it to the grave. Hopefully it will last to 250K.
My previous experience with Honda cars was in 1985 when I purchased a Civic hatchback - new. Great car
So just a couple things going on with the Accord.. Sometimes it hunts for the torque converter lockup and seems a bit cantankerous when that happens.
It also has some noise with the blower. I was thinking of dropping the squirrel cage and inspecting for any loose debris that may be lurking in the ventilation.
So what should I do to extend the life of this fine auto. I use Mobil One oil and change out with Mobil One filter and oil every 10k.
Changed out the air filters and will be doing the spark plugs. I have no maintenance history so I am suspect about trans fluid - to flush or not to flush...any info
you can share on this would Greatly be appreciated. I am leaning toward transmission pan removal and filter change so that would keep much of the old oil in there.
I personally love the seat in this car and the handling is very nice.
Thanks to one and all and its great to be back in a Honda.
Brian
