Default which one - b or d

which engine d or b series will give me the followings?

1. 180-200hp, NA
2. Good gas economy
3. Reliable

A "D" series engine simply cannot get to your HP goals naturally aspirated, so you have no choice but to choose a "B" series. Any VTEC "B" series 1.8L or larger engine with upgraded cams, compression and I/H/E should be able to hit the 200 wheel HP target safely.

170 HP here in the US market... at the FLYWHEEL. This would be like 150 HP at the wheels... so you would have to add 30-50 wheel HP to meet the OP's goals.
