2003 2.4l Calif Spark Plug Dilemma
Hello All,
I originally got a P0303 cyl 3 misfire code. Replaced that coil pack, then got a P0301 so I replaced ALL coil packs with Denso OEM... Now the P0301 code has returned (a few weeks), so I am going to replace the plugs. I know I should have done at same time but was very time constrained.
Q: Researching, I find there are different plug gaps based on if car is a Calif spec or Fed, for NGK Iridium. This is a Calif car. ULEV What's the difference with the plugs other than the obvious? Will it make a difference if I use the ..044 vs .052 plugs?
Thanks!

With that said, are the heat range between the plugs the same? If they are, you can buy either plug and gap them properly(iridium plugs require a wire gapper) to avoid damaging the electrode.
The reality is,you should just order the right plug.
