B18b turbo build VSS problems
Hi everyone. I'm having some issues with this turbo build of mine. Recently added turbo and converted obd2 to obd1 running a chipped p06 board. Now I've got no speedometer and my rev is limiting at 5400 approx.
I've checked VSS at trans and am getting 12v, ground and 5v. Also getting pulse from 0-5v when spinning tire in neutral. I'm receiving 5 volts at pcm harness between c18 and a9 wires, it no pulse.
Have changed cluster for known working unit. Receiving 5volts at b11 wire but again, no pulse. Blue white wire is getting continuity between vss, harness, and cluster. Any help is appreciated. Everything was working before swap, only change is the ecu.

There shouldn't be 5v on the signal out wire. It should be a 12v pulse 4 times per tire revolution.
1) Make sure there is no fluid in the plug causing a short or cross circuit.
2) Check continuity between the VSS signal wire at the plug to the ECU.
3) Repair any wiring damage and clean all pins in the VSS male and female plugs. IF any are blue/green and corroded, replace them.

Could it be an issue with this obd2a to obd1 conversion harness? Problem with the chipped ecu?
