So my girlfriends car has had an ignition problem for awhile. It makes a static type of noise when it starts and the key comes out when car is running. I figured it was a worn out key, tumbler worn in ignition lock cylinder or bad ignition switch. Last night someone else moved her car and pulled key out in Acc position. She called me and thought her battery was dead. When I got to the car battery seemed okay. I pulled it anyway and tested it. Battery is fine. I checked relay for starter and acc and both are fine. Starter does click but I’m at a lose. So I’ve pulled just the ignition switch so far. I haven’t pulled the entire lock cylinder. Any thoughts?
