2012 Honda Accord rear brake Noise (changed brakes, rotors are good and bearings good
Hello all, I'm seriously stumped with why my rear brakes keep making a constant noise when I drive. The noise is constant in the sense that it occurs only when it hits a certain spot in the wheel rotation. When I took off wheel and spun the rotors the calipers seem to be pushing against the brakes to hard in certain spots and kinda grinds against the rotors. Also if it helps, the calipers are hard to take off because they are so pressed against the brakes. I changed the brakes pads, wheel bearings are fine (no play in the wheel when raised), and rotors are fine. I had my calipers changed from a quick lube place 2 years ago. The car is a manual so it has a hand break, is it possibly tighten to much? I'm really not sure why the brakes make this sound, and its quite obvious as I had people tell me about the sound from outside.
I have a 2005 Acura TL that had the same thing. Happened intermittently but only when turning and at a certain speed. Didn't matter if brake was applied or not. I was told there was some rust which needed to be scraped off. That took care of it for me.
