help with brakes
just recently i notice that when i drive a screeching noise is coming from my front wheels. i am assuming that it is my brakes. i was wondering if this just meant that i need new pads or is it an issue with the calipers being stuck.

Re: help with brakes (blehboy)
if it happens while the brakes are not being applied, you may have a rock or something lodged in between the caliper and rotor. Or sometimes the dust shield gets bent and rubbs against something

Re: help with brakes (blehboy)
If you break hard or for elongated time periods it may cause your rotors to get hot spots on them that are harder and this may cause it when the brakes are applied. Your screaching could also be caused from a leaking wheel cylinder in the back if you have rear drums, it causes too much braking stress to be put on the front.
