Default What's compatible with my Transmission?

Hello I've tried doing some research and have had no luck, I'm hoping you guys can help. I have a 03 Civic Ex with a 1.7 and 5 speed manual. I want to get an engine that bolts to the transmission, and has minimum long term problems.

Unfortunately, no other engine bolts directly to your transmission, so your only choice is a D17 engine and you have the most powerful version now. Reliability is one of the worst of the Honda SOHC family.
