Sorry if there is already a thread for this but I couldn’t seem to find it. I have a 97 civic hatch, 5 speed with the d16y7 and I was doing the y8 manifold swap on it but it ended up cracking so I threw the old y7 manifold back in, only problem is that the idle and everything is fine until I start to rev it around 2,500rpm and then when it’s coming back down it end up dropping under 1k rpm and then going back up to 2k rpm. It almost feels like the car wants to die after reviving it up. I made sure that everything was back in order, all the lines are where they are supposed to be. Any help would be appreciated since I would love to be able to drive it again.

 

Clean the IACV.

 

I did, I actually bought a new oem one too but it still does the same thing

Did you plug everything in correctly?

 

Yeah everything is plugged in correctly, all the lines are hookup where they should be. I’m just not too sure I’m gonna be able to fix it myself. I mean I’ve rebuilt d series motors quite a bit but I’ve never had this problem xD
