I just tonight bought Dorman part#49449, and while it does fit the linkage arm fine, it is loose enough on the ball, that it’s most likely gonna pop off and cause some damage. I’m sure I could modify it, to tighten it up, but I’d just rather find the right part. Can anyone confirm Dorman part# 49464 fits? There isn’t no info I can find, but I know this one fits a 2000 Accord.

I have just decided to rig it, because it storms every day, and I need wipers....I was thinking using a heat shrink tube on the ball, to try to tighten it up...I know this is no permanent solution...but I have to do something now. If anyone has a better idea, please let me know.
I really don’t have the money for the whole assembly right now.
I find it really hard to believe nobody has had this problem!
I also find it hard to believe when this problem arises..everyone buys the whole motor assembly, for a dang plastic bushing!
why can I not find no info on this?

 

Tried, and failed at rigging😭
I broke down and ordered the linkage arm.
I was reluctant at first, because I like a challenge....but I came to the conclusion...there was no good way to reliably, make it work....without drilling out the ball, and putting a bolt loosely threw it....but then even if the bushing had enough room to pivot...the bolt would wear it out fast.

 

If its anything like the 5G Accord linkage I was able to use one of the assortments they sell, I think it was a Chrysler assortment. Its been a couple years now at least still working fine.
