Finally got around to pulling my head to do the head gasket on my d16y8, on the #3 cyl piston had a small pool of oil on it. Not sure if i dripped it on there when i pulled the head off or not. Is this something to be concerned with?
Didn't do a compression check, only because i replaced my entire cooling system and flushed it, and it still overheated and had bubbles in the coolant reservoir, so to me that was a for sure head gasket issue

It could have just been spilled oil during removal of the head, but I would recommend that you compression test the cylinders after reinstalling the head. If compression is low in cyl #3 or any other cylinder, then do a cylinder leak down test to identify where compression is lost.
