Capless Fuel filler
Does anybody know if Honda or aftermarket capless fuel fillers are available?
I need to find a solution for an elderly person with arthritis who has trouble opening and closing the cap. She often gets the fuel cap light on from not having the strength close the cap to the point of the "click" I've seen videos on the operation of the capless filler for a Odyssey, but can't find the part number and don't know if it would fit a 2018 Accord.
Thank you!

As far as I can tell a 2018 Accord doesn't use a fuel cap.
If it does, and you wanted to change to capless, you'd need a variety of emissions components, sensors and differing PCM software.

Thanks for wasting my time to read your reply. Go back and read the post again. If you would like more information this will sum it up. I'm trying to help someone in their 80's maintain independence as long as possible. If I lived near her I would just fill the car up when it needed it.

Smokey69, the thing that is confusing about your posts is that you imply that the elderly woman you are trying to help owns a 2018 Accord. That car already has a capless fuel filler. So there would be no need to retrofit it.... You pop open the fuel filler door, and insert the gas pump nozzle. No cap. Does she perhaps have a different model car, or different year?
My mistake.... I believed them when they told me the car was 2018, after looking up the VIN it is a 2014. I will not look to modify the cap on this car. Instead it is time for them to replace it and I'll just make sure the next car has a capless filler. Sorry for any confusion. I did learn that making a change is not as simple as purchasing a cap on ebay or Amazon and swapping it out. Thank you.
